a few questions and answers
Who will be the photographer?
I will be your photographer. I use an assistant to help carry and set up equipment. On larger weddings / packages there might be an additional photographer. I am still the primary photographer.
Pricing, services vs. time?
Not every ceremony fits neatly to the hour. Not every wedding and its various segments fit neatly into hour increments. I offered several packages. This is to help compare other photographers’ services and time. Every wedding can have so many variations it is best discussed details in person. That’s why it is so important that we meet.
How long does this take?
This depends on the size of your ceremony and wedding party. The number of shots we will have done before the ceremony and the co operation of people for the portraits after the ceremony. Please figure on 45 minutes to one hour for the portraits after the ceremony. Also a factor is when the reception events (toasts, cake cutting and dance) take place.
Are you a fulltime photographer?
Yes, I make my living as a photographer. I have for the last 35 years.
How are the photos you take decided upon?
When we meet I bring a multi paged shoot list. We will review this – subtracting some and adding to as you wish. At the end this shoot list will be customized for you.
Will you travel?
I’d be glad to discuss this with you. I have traveled out of town and out of state.
What if you need to stay longer?
You and I will discuss your wedding, it’s time frame. This will help establish the package and the number of hours coverage we anticipate. Things happen, and not always as scheduled. I will work with you to provide the coverage you have contracted for. I will check with you before there is overtime. Overtime is charged at $ 75 per half hour.
How and when do we meet?
I like to meet with you twice. First time is to see my work and for us to discuss your wedding. This is a time for you to decide if you want to contract me to be your photographer. If so, a second meeting about a month before your wedding day to make confirm final plans.
Is a deposit required?
To secure your date and my services a deposit of $ 500 will be expected at the (end) first meeting. The balance of the package we agree to will be due 30 days prior to the wedding date.
Now what?
I look forward to hearing from you; if your date is open and you like what you see here on line – we should meet soon. It is your decision to move forward from there.
